Kelley Buko, Office Manager

Kelley Buko received a degree in Business Administration from Cleary University in 1983. She then began her career in the title insurance industry. She worked as a title examiner, residential real estate closing agent, construction draw coordinator and branch manager of a title company for 19 years. Kelley also co-owns a heating and cooling company with her husband and acts as its manager. Kelley joined CS Partners in October 2006 as an administrative assistant to Diane Vance. As office manager, her duties include facilities management, technology updates, communications, marketing strategies and event planning. Kelley is a life-long resident of Hartland, Michigan where she resides with her husband and two children. She has been very active in her community and children’s schools where she has held many leadership positions with various parent teacher organizations.

Loreta Fife, Accountant

Loreta came to CS Partners directly after graduating from Eastern Michigan University with her Bachelors degree in Accounting. She joined CS Partners in July of 2007 as an Accountant. Her principal duties include preparing financial statements and cash flow statements for the charter schools and oversight boards. In addition Loreta is also responsible for charter school payroll preparation. Loreta was actually born and raised in Druskininkai, Lithuania, coming to the United States in the Fall of 2000, beginning her college education in 2001. While here Loreta met her husband whom she now has a home with in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Cindy Metz, Board Support and Compliance

Cindy Metz joined CS Partners in September, 2007 as an Administrative Assistant. Her duties include board support and compliance oversight. Mrs. Metz has a Bachelor of Science in Child Development from Michigan State University. Her prior work experience includes positions as a Visual Learning Instructor, Respite Care Worker, Teacher Assistant and various positions in the title insurance industry. She resides in Howell, Michigan with her three children, Evan, Gracey and Tessa.

Teresa Simonds, Administrative Assistant

Teresa Simonds joined CS Partners in October, 2008 as an Administrative Assistant. Her duties include accounts payable and special project assistant to Maria Dockins. Mrs. Simonds has attended Schoolcraft College to pursue a Child Development degree. Her prior work experience includes banking, administrator, office manager and subbing in her children´s schools. She has also been involved in many volunteer positions in her church, school system and as a coach. She resides in Fenton with her husband of sixteen years, Mike and their four children, Shelby, Billy, Shane and Shaun.

Joseph Kukulski, Director of Special Education

Joseph Kukulski serves as the Director of Special Education for CS Partners. He has served as an Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, Director of Special Education, ISD Superintendent, teacher consultant, and elementary school teacher. In his 30+ years of experience Joe has served in many capacities in both rural and suburban counties statewide, K-12. He has had the fiscal management responsibility of a 35 million dollar budget, implemented a county-wide Response to Intervention program, initiated the alignment of secondary special education curriculum with the Michigan Merit Curriculum, and supervised and evaluated instructional and non instructional service providers. Joe has created innovative public/private partnerships benefiting students with disabilities and is a strong advocate for the provision of quality education for all students.

Laura Carpenter, Accountant

Laura Carpenter joined CS Partners in March of 2010 as a part time Accountant. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters in Business Administration degrees from Michigan State University in 1991 in Professional Accounting. She has worked in the public accounting industry, served as an adjunct instructor at U of M-Flint and owned her own retail store for seven years in Fenton. Her primary responsibilities at CS Partners include audit management and financial statement preparation. She lives in Fenton with her husband and four children and enjoys volunteering at their school. She currently serves on Fenton’s Downtown Development Authority Board and the board of the Fenton Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Sandy Jenkin, Accounts Payable Clerk

Sandy Jenkin joined CS Partners in May 2010 as an Accounts Payable Clerk. Sandy received her Business Marketing Diploma from St. Clair College in 1984. Sandy was raised in Chatham, Ontario and in 1992 moved to Michigan with her husband. While still in Ontario Sandy law clerked a number of years specializing in family law. During her years in Hartland she has enjoyed careers in both the customer service field and more recently specializing in accounts payable and payroll. She resides in Hartland with her husband Jim, and daughter Emily. She is very active in her local church where she continues to hold leadership positions as well as being involved in her local community.

Curtis Warren, Director of Curriculum and Instruction

Curtis currently serves as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction. He has 32 years of professional experience, including eight years of teaching experience at the K-12 level (including special education), ten years of experience in higher education settings, and sixteen years of experience working in human service and non-profit agencies. In addition to teaching, Curtis has held positions and duties that include serving as a dean of student services, director of an educational opportunity center, supervision of home-based programs for disadvantaged families, evening principal/coordinator for adult education, director of a court-appointed special advocate program, and director of student employment services and workforce development programs. Curtis is currently a doctoral candidate in educational leadership, evaluation, measurement, and research. He has also completed a significant amount of postgraduate coursework in educational studies and K-12 education at Western Michigan University (WMU), as well as graduate coursework in ethical leadership at Olivet Nazarene University (IL). In addition, Curtis received a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in education, with additional postgraduate studies in special education at WMU. His Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in sociology and anthropology, with minors in education and Spanish was awarded by Kalamazoo College.

Laura Moellering, Director of Secondary Curriculum

Laura Moellering earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education and her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Michigan University and holds a professional teaching certificate from the State of Michigan in English and Psychology. Ms. Moellering began her career with CSP as a teacher and then curriculum director at Kensington Woods High School where she aided in developing and implementing an advisory program, AP courses, and various unique learning opportunities for students. Ms. Moellering has also been a part of expanding and growing the educational mission of the Charyl Stockwell Academy to include the secondary campus, the Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy. As a member of the School Services Team, Ms. Moellering provides curriculum and instruction services, staff development and reporting services to schools.

Lori Sherman, Board Support and Compliance

Lori Sherman joined CS Partners in July 2010 as an Administrative Assistant. Her duties include board support and compliance oversight. Mrs. Sherman worked at Charyl Stockwell Academy for four years before joining CS Partners. Her prior work experience includes 14 years as a real estate agent where she specialized in new construction and was an Accredited Buyers Representative. She also has worked as an administrative assistant at Plante & Moran and BCBSM. She lives in Hartland with her three children, Reid, Geoffrey and Allison.
