Vision for a New Way
Funding was provided by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) to provide special education services to Michigan’s public charter schools. Teri Pettit, Director of Educational Services for CS Partners has been contracted to work as a special education consultant/liaison for the Michigan Association of Public School Academies (MAPSA). The result of this alliance has been the creation of a website entitled Vision for a New Way.
The purpose of the Vision for a New Way website is to facilitate improved services to students with disabilities, and those at risk of learning failure, by providing a clearinghouse and point of reference for an array of individuals and organizations working in special education communities.
Information includes: State and Federal Correspondence; Toolkits for Special Educators featuring best and promising practices ; Resources; Grant, Professional Development, and Job Opportunities; Parent Resource Center; and more. An e-news list serve is also available. Resources are updated regularly.
Join us in creating a culture of high expectations, accountability, and results that will respond to the needs of all stakeholders in the educational process and help to make the Vision for a New Way a reality.
