Huron Academy believes that students' intellectual growth must be stimulated with a pursuit of academic excellence. Based on the unique and diverse needs of their students, their philosophy is to provide a proactive approach to education that also encourages the development of the aesthetic, social, physical, creative and emotional aspects of each individual. With caring and attentive role models, Huron Academy provides students with guidance for growth to prepare them for future academic and emotional challenges.
Huron was established in 1999 as a Public School Academy chartered by Ferris State University. They have attained NCA Accreditation, received the 2001 Michigan Charter School Summit Award and have received the Shining Star Award from Ferris State University.
The Academy serves students in Kindergarten through 6th grade offering a structured curriculum, enrichment classes, low class sizes and a strong basis in values, ethics and morals. Huron Academy is dedicated to developing young people of good character who become responsible and caring citizens.

The school seeks to lead public charter elementary schools in Michigan, and traditional public elementary schools in Macomb County, in academic excellence, as measured on state and national tests.
The school seeks to promote the development of character in young children as measured by a safe and orderly environment where all children are accepted and can learn. |
